What exactly is our Fascial System? The Fascial system is an integral system that includes all of the body’s collagenous connective tissue that builds, maintains and remodels our cell tissues. What is Fascia made of? Fascial fibers are made of three parts: Collagen with elastin, Viscous: a gel-like water absorbing material, Water- H2O Where do we have Fascia? There are four different types of Fascia in multi-dimensional layers throughout the entire body. These 4 types of Fascia are: Superficial, Loose, Deep and Muscle. What do you mean by Movement Ease? The Movement helps to support hydration and the fluid flow within the body to maintain its pliability, increasing our stability and lubricating our joint systems. How do we create the Glide, so we’re not moving in pain? We do slow generous movements with added spiraling motions like roll downs, twists, the wave, etc. to promote the Glide between the different layers of Fascia. “The lotions in the Motion!” Why do we feel better and move better after we dynamically stretch? Generous active lengthening exercises with counter opposing movements help to soften our connective tissue, promoting sensory awareness and adaptability. Hence Moving Better to Feel Better! What is the Tension & Release method & what are the benefits? The Tension & Release method is active lengthening exercises, unwinding the body into opposing melting poses. We build Elasticity by incorporating new rhythmical bouncing and swinging motions to enhance tissue tension for stronger elasticity and better efficiency & Movement Ease. With tissue tension and stimulation we are able to hydrate the Fascia, bringing fluid into the joint systems. Why is Fascial Fitness and Slings Myofascial Movement training referred to as Intelligent Exercise? Intelligent Exercise is body minded movement practices that enhance our awareness and kinaesthetic intelligence, therefore improving our structural balance and functionality. So, Why Movement and Motion Studio? Just not sure if it’s for me...
